Symptom

  • When trying to open a report in Crystal Reports for Enterprise designer, it displays an error.
  • When trying to connect to a relational data source in Crystal Reports for Enterprise, it displays the error:

  "The data source is invalid: 'Unable to connect to the InfoStore: '.
   Please contact the maintainer of the data source to solve the problem."

  • The error message started occuring after applying an update to the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform.
