Symptom

SMP failed to start after upgrade to SMP 2.3 SP07 from SP06.

Error in the bootstrap log :

[] SAP Mobile Server is shut down because cluster properties update failed:

java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.lang.Object.equals(java.lang.Object) of a null object returned from com.sybase.djc.properties.PropertyMap.get(java.lang.Object)
 at com.sybase.sup.server.cluster.ClusterPropertiesManager.applyClusterProperties(ClusterPropertiesManager.java:240)
 at com.sybase.djc.mobilink.StartServer.startCommon(StartServer.java:198)
