2292502 - Error when trying to restore a single report -BPC NW 10.0.

Symptom

After performing a Back up via transaction UJBR then restoring  a single report as per note 1990408 , the restored file cannot be used.

Opening the file with Excel ends with the following error:

EXCEL cannot open the file because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verfiy that the file has not been corrupted and the file extension matches the format of the file.
