2292951 - Reset Button Does Not Work When Performing a search - LMS

Reset button does not always clear filters, radio/check box selections or search criteria values

SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS)

There are two scenarios that can cause this behavior:

Scenario 1: Tabbing between the "Search" and "Results" tabs.  Example:

1. Select any item
2. Click on Online Content to add content to the item
3. Enter any keyword for performing a search
4. Once the search results are retrieved go back to the search page
5. Click on reset button
6. Note that previous entered values are not cleared
   
   

Scenario 2: When using the "Filter" dialog for Search Criteria.  Example:

1. Navigate to Learning Items
2. Enter some text for Item title
3. Click the Filter Icon next to Item Types
   
   
   
   
4. Select some values & submit
5. Click Reset
   
   
   
   
6. Note that the filter values and the Item Title text is not cleared

This includes radio button, check box, etc selections as well

This is expected behavior as the reset button will clear currently entered values and when the screen changes, the previous values are saved

• Reset button will clear only the form field values which are currently entered
• Navigating away from the base search page, the currently entered values are saved
• When navigating back to the base search page, only values entered after will be reset, previous values will be retained
• When navigating to the result tab to search page with pre-populated form field value, not entered manually, it will not be cleared
• When navigating from the Filter Criteria back to the Search page, those previous selected values have been saved
