Symptom
- Admin changes employee status to Terminated option from available drop down menu and user's active column is not changed to "NO"
- Save the changes,
- User's active column will be shown as "Yes"
Environment
Learning Management System (LMS)
Reproducing the Issue
- Admin changes employee status to Terminated option from available drop down menu,
- Save the changes,
- User's active column will be shown as "Yes" and not changed to "No"
Cause
- Selecting employee status as terminated has no impact on the user account status
- It is just an informative column to see the employee's account status
Resolution
- For the best practice, we recommend to navigate to System Admin / Configuration/RecordConfiguration - select records for user and add record "Terminated" from available to display as it is not displayed by default,
- Then select terminated date and set column "Active" to "No",
- Even if user's column "Active" is not changed to "No", user won't be able to log in if a terminated date is in past
- But column "Active" must be still updated manually
