Is it possible for an instance to hold both the integration between CDP and LMS – where the user can add learning items in LMS directly from CDP – and at the same time holding a legacy Learning Activities catalogue for the custom Learning Activities?

This is not supported by CDP configuration. The two types of learning activities – integrated and legacy – belong to different versions of CDP and are not designed to work together.
