2297049 - Error Message: Your entry is too long. Do not enter more than 40 characters

When you try to maintain  Org Unit Name with more than 40 characters, system throws error message: Your entry is too long. Do not enter more than 40 characters.

1. Go to Organizational management work center.
2. Select Org Structures view.
3. Click Edit
4. Select Chevron General 
5. Maintain the Org Unit Name.
6. Select Save.

System display above error message.

Currently it is not possible to have Org Units Names with more than 40 characters.

We suggest you to make a meaningful abbreviation or consider to use a more generic Org Units Name, with less than 40 characters.

Workaround:

Org Unit Name mentioned in the General tab, is an internal org unit name. Hence, here there shouldn't be a problem to use abbreviations.
For external communication, in the Addresses tab, there are 2 fields "Company Name" and "Department Name" and both have a limit of 40 characters.
And during consumption, these 2 fields are concatenated, which gives an 80 character field.

Note: The character length mentioned in the migration template is incorrect, and will require correction from our side. The limit should be 40 characters only.
