Symptom

  • Alter owner on partitioned tables does not change ownership of partitions, just the base table.
  • The following error reported when change ownership of the partition object:
    For Example:
    alter table user1."part_5005" alter owner to user2

    "Could not execute statement
    Object part_5005 not usable in current context
    (dblib/db_catalog.cxx 1929)
    SQLCODE=-1000303, ODBC 3 State="HY000""
