2297500 - Trying to remove alternate managers in Learning with the User Connector - SF

How to remove the alternate managers in the Learning environment with the User Connector - SF, via the extended_user_data.txt file using the REMOVE_ALT_SUPER fields?

1. At Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > open CONNECTORS in the edit mode >

2. Add the setting sfuser.extendeduser.field.mapping.data.REMOVE_ALT_SUPER1=***available column name*** > click on 'Apply Changes' >

3. At the file,  to the field of column name defined above, add the user ID you want to remove >

4. Run the User Connector - SF.

Note that while the REMOVE_ALT_SUPER1, REMOVE_ALT_SUPER2, REMOVE_ALT_SUPER3 fields are mapped in the standard User Connector, these fields do not exist in BizX and therefore are not mapped by default in the User Connector - SF. They can either revert to using MATRIX MANAGER field (see below) or update (add/remove) via the standard User Connector by populating the user_manager_data.txt file as required.

IMPORTANT:

It is recommended you use Matrix Manager feature when trying update/remove Alt_Supervisors or HRBPs via User Connector - SF; availing of MATRIX_MANAGER field:

sfuser.field.mapping.data.TEMP_ALT_SUPER=MATRIX_MANAGER

In case ALL alternate managers need to be removed, please make sure ALL Manager IDs are removed from corresponding Matrix Manager fields on the BizX side.

No updateOnNull is required on this field, and when it is empty the Connector will remove ALL ALT_Supervisors previously added by the Connector from the user record.

Note: It will not remove Alt Managers which were added previously in the Learning UI.
