2297642 - How to add a new address type in Addresses Portlet/Element

Symptom

  • You would like to add a new address type in Addresses portlet/Element.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

User has only one address type (For example - Mailing Address) showing in Personal Information -> Addresses portlet, but you would like to add a new address type - For example: Billing Address.

Resolution

Method for adding new address type configuration:

  1. Go to Picklist Center
  2. Search and select picklist 'addressType'.

  3. Click on Add new value button
    addressType picklist add new value 1.png
  4. Enter code and value > click on Create button
    addressType picklist add new value 2.png
    addressType picklist add new value 3.png

Method for adding data of this new address type in UI:

  1. Select Employee
  2. Navigate to Personal Info page
  3. In the address field > select Edit/Pencil Icon

  4. Click on Add Addresses

  5. In drop down field Address type and select Billing

  6. Fill in the required information and select Save
    addressType new value used in UI 4.png
  7. The new Billing Address type data can be seen and used
