2302355 - Create connection to HANA failed 'Write access to HOME' Operating System error 13 -- 'Permission denied' - SRS

Symptom

  • A failure occurs creating replication objects in HANA database when creating a connection to target HANA database. Following are errors produced in the SAP Replication Server (SRS) log:

 E. 2016/04/06 14:57:43. ERROR #1027 DSI(113 HANADB.HANADB) - eneric/err/errhand.c(292)
        Open Client Client-Library error: Error: 99999, Severity 4 -- 'ecGenerateConnector::CreateConnector: Write access to HOME = /usr/u/sybase required to load hdb connector', Operating System error 13 -- 'Permission denied'.

  • Connection to HANA database is added to SRS but it is not valid because none of the RS objects where created in HANA.
