2302835 - Undetected deadlock between connections in "latch sleep" and "lock sleep" - SAP ASE

Symptom

You are running applications on SAP ASE database.

  • Two or more connections appear to hang indefinitly with status of "latch sleep" and "lock sleep"
  • The "lock sleep" connection is blocked by that connection in "latch sleep"
  • The only way to clear the hung spids is to reboot the ASE server.
