2302921 - "wrong liveCache configuration" Install of EHP3 for SAP SCM 7.0 fails

Symptom

Installation of EHP3 for SAP SCM 7.0 fails. An error similar to the below can be seen in the sapinst_dev.log:

ERROR 0000-00-00 00:00:00.000000 (root/sapinst) [CSiStepExecute.cpp:1187] id=controller.stepExecuted errno=FCO-00011
The step GetHanaLiveCacheNodeOnMultiDB with step key |NW_ABAP_CI|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_liveCache|ind|ind|ind|ind|
livecache|0|GetHanaLiveCacheNodeOnMultiDB was executed with status ERROR 
( Last error reported by the step: Assertion failed: The HANA database has a wrong liveCache configuration. 
In case of a Scale Out System (i.e. HANA is distributed over several nodes) the liveCache node must be EXCLUSIVE. 
This means that one node is used exclusively as liveCache. In case of a single node system the liveCache node must be SHARED ! 
The current settings of the HANA database are: isScaleOut = true, liveCacheStore = SHARED. 
Please change the configuration according to the installation guide.).
