2303354 - Negotiated Value for Products are set to Zero when you Change the Start Date of the Opportunities

You are using Migration/Mass Data Maintenance/Data Workbench to change the Start Date of some Opportunities, after successful change, you have observed that the Negotiated Value for the Products in the Products tab (In Opportunities) is reset to Zero.

You have exported few Opportunities through Mass Data Maintenance and Imported in again with the changes to the Start Date.

After that, when you check those Opportunities, the Negotiated Value are set to Zero for the Products assigned in those Opportunities.

The cause for the issue is that when start date is changed, price evaluation changed and gives result as 0. With original start date it works .

There is an additional check that if negotiated value has been overridden by the user to a different value than what is proposed by system , then system do not update it anymore.

In this case, the user did not override system proposed value , hence when start date changed price evaluation applies new value to it.

This is expected system behavior.
