2303471 - Jam Group dashboard Most Engaged Members

Symptom

Jam Group dashboard Most Engaged Members selection is set to “Group Admins Excluded” but some admins are still shown in the filter.

Environment

 SAP Jam Collaboration

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to a Group in SAP Jam
  2. Identify the group Admins
  3. Now navigate to the Dashboard
  4. Under Most Engaged Members, filter the view to "Group Admins Excluded"
  5. Some of the group admins still appear in the list

Resolution

The score for this table is calculated based on the state of that member at the time in which the contributed to the group. So this means that if a member of the group contributed to the group for a while, and then later became a group admin, their contribution to the group at the time of their contribution constitutes as non-admin, because they were not an admin at the time of contribution. When you use the dropdown to filter scores based admin/non-admin, it will filter based on the state of those members at the time of contribution.

So if the group admin was a member of the group for a long period of time before they became an admin of the same group, their contributions to the group prior to becoming an admin will count toward the non-admin score, but all contributions to the group after becoming an admin will not count toward the non-admin score. This is the system design.
