2304599 - Alter table is hanging causing the HK to be blocked - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • An alter table is run and it hangs in a sleeping mode. 
  • dbcc stacktrace on the sleeping spid shows the routine ptn__datachange_reset.
  • The sleeping spid does not respond to kill, forcing a reboot to clear.
