2305069 - Created on Date Missing in the Purchase Order Form

You have created a new purchase order, however when you do the preview the Created On date field is missing in the purchase order form.

1. Go to the Purchase Requests and Orders work center
2. Go to the Purchase Orders view
3. Select the relevant Purchase Order
4. Select Edit and Preview
5. In the from Created On field is missing

In Business ByDesign, we have two dates to display on purchase order forms. One is purchase order Creation Date and other one is Ordered Date.

When the Purchase order is in status"In preparation" then creation date is not there cause it is not yet sent to supplier I.e from a business point of view, the relevant creation date of the purchase order is when it is sent out to the supplier .

In general to see the Created On date in the purchase order forms, you need to map it to attribute BuyerCreationDateTime via Adobe LiveCycle Designer. However in the the output form system will consider the Ordered Date only to display the created on date on the form.

So once the purchase order is posted, you can review the output in the Output History tab. There you can open the pdf file and you will see that the Created On field is filled.

For example: You create a purchase order on 13th June 2018 and Save it as In Preparation status & this will be the Creation Date. Then if you Order it on 15th June 2018, system will considered this date as Created on Date on the forms. For the supplier, the ordered date is more important than the actual creation date.Hence the creation date would appear same as order date  in the forms. since in your case Purchase order is still in status In preparation, the order date would not be there, hence, in the forms the creation date will be empty.

If you still think you need this date on form then contact your partners to add an extension field that will have exact creation date appearing in the PO and map it on to the  output form .
