Symptom

  • ASE server performs very slow.
  • sp_sysmon reports show "Engine Utilization (Tick %)" reached 99~100% for all engines.
  • sp_sysmon reports show spinlock contention in the default data cache.
  • Spinmon reports show 90% spinlock contention in one of the cache partition in the default data cache.
