2305583 - How to remove Duplicates from Candidate Profile background elements

Symptom

The Candidate Profile shows duplicate Background Elements

Environment

SAP SucessFactors Recruiting Management

Resolution

A scheduled job allows the synchronization between EP and the candidate profile, as consequence the duplicates on CP will disappear.

This job runs automatically, there is no possible to run it manually. Therefore only the following two actions can re-trigger the job:

Via Provisioning (for Partners only)

  1. Setup and run a “Live Profile Import” of “Backgound Information”
  2. Selecting the option “Overwrite Existing Data”


Via Admin Centre:

  1. Go to Import Extended User Information > Background Information
  2. Selecting the option “Import by re-loading all data with your new changes”  (this means to “overwrite”)

After completing one of the methods above, you can view the job under Provisioning > Monitor Jobs

Job Name : CAND_USER_BG_SYNC  -   Job Type: Candidate User Background elements Sync

Please note that due to a code defect the job wil not trigger if UserID does not equal Username for the user doing the Import Extended User Information > Background Information. This will be fixed in H2 Release 2022 (Internal reference - EDU-18161)

The expected behaviour after this kind import will be that EP reflects the import file you uploaded, and the candidate profile template will reflect EP.
