2306856 - Clients cannot access ADS tables on Linux machine

Symptom

You cannot access Advantage Database Server (ADS) data on Linux machine and see the following error messages:

  • ADS reports 7041 - "File not found error" and Linux system error 2 - "No such file or directory" is also recorded in ads_err error log file
  • ADS reports 7013 - "Advantage server file access error" and Linux system error 13 - "Permission denied" is also recorded in ads_error error log file
