2307017 - DUMP/ LOAD with 'compress::' syntax fails on Solaris x64 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Can't dump or load a database using the old compression syntax 'compress::'.
  • DUMP or LOAD command using 'compress::' fails with the following errors:

A01: SYBMULTBUF ERROR: Unable to open API library for device 'compress::5::/freespace/db_dump/mydb_02'. Library path is '/software/sybase/ASE-16_0/lib/libcompress.so'. dlopen() returned: Code=0, Message=ld.so.1: sybmultbuf: fatal: relocation error: HOSTname: file /software/sybase/ASE-16_0/lib/libcompress.so: symbol adler32: value 0x2800151c97d does not fit
Backup Server: 4.124.2.1: Archive API error for device='compress::5::/freespace/db_dump/mydb::001': Vendor application name=<UNINIT>, Library version=0, API routine=<UNINIT>, Message=Unable to open API library for device 'compress::5::/freespace/db_dump/mydb_02'.
