2307121 - Server hangs after assertion failed: 200130 error

Symptom

  • Querying a table returns the following error in serer console: 
    *** ERROR *** Assertion failed: 200130 (16.0.0.2266)[database_name]
    Invalid page found in index
    Fatal error: Internal error. 
  • At the same time on client side, you see the following error: 
    Could not execute statement.
    Run time SQL error -- Fatal error: Internal error.
    SQLCODE=-300, ODBC 3 State="HY000" Line 1, column 1
    <statement_caused_the_assertion>
  • The server appears to be hung, does not accept any new client connections and/or responds to any requests
