2307529 - OOM in PI Monitoring: GC overhead limit exceeded

Symptom

  • You are using the Runtime Workbench (RWB) to monitor messages on your SAP Process Integration (PI) system
  • Your java server nodes are experiencing Out Of Memory (OOM) issues
  • The following Garbage collection (GC) errors are present on your system:
    ***ERROR (:0): OutOfMemoryError: Could not allocate 0 bytes
    java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded
    Dumping heap to OOM.hprof ...
  • Upon analysing the generated OOM.hprof heap dump file you find the below leak suspect:
    X instances of "com.sap.aii.rwb.web.performancemonitoring.aggregator.SxmspfrawhType", loaded by "com.sap.engine.services.deploy.server.ApplicationLoader @ x" occupy x (x%) bytes. These instances are referenced from one instance of "com.sap.aii.rwb.web.performancemonitoring.aggregator.SxmspfrawhType[]", loaded by "com.sap.engine.services.deploy.server.ApplicationLoader @ x"
