When you issue command Db2iupdt db2<sid> in DB2 V9.7 the following error is returned:
"DBI1122E Instance db2<sid> cannot be updated or upgraded.
Explanation:
An attempt was made to either update or upgrade an instance.
This instance cannot be updated or upgraded because:
- One of the following commands cannot be used to either update or upgrade this instance: db2iupdt, db2iupgrade, or db2nrupdt.
- The instance is still active."
