2308674 - "License Key Error : Invalid Key" when adding BI 4.2/ BI 4.3 keycode after upgrade from BI 4.0 / 4.1

• Symptom 1 :

After applying SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) 4.2 update on SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) 4.0 or 4.1 as per the article BI4.2 New License Key Requirement when updating from BI4.0/BI4.1 and then adding the Valid License key in updated BI getting "License Key Error : Invalid Key".

• Symptom 2 :

Adding the License key using command line using KBA : 2281830 - How to add license key from command line gives the same error
In both scenarios, the 4.2 key is confirmed valid but will not install successfully into the updated system.
