2308932 - BI 4.x SDK: How to Get unx Universe Connections

Symptom

  • In BI 4.0 and BI 4.1 SP5 and earlier, there is no direct SDK access for unx universes. How, then, to know which connections are used by those universes?
  • Having gotten a universe from the CMS, the following error may occur when trying to cast it to an IUniverse object:

java.lang.ClassCastException: com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.infostore.internal.ag cannot

be cast to com.businessobjects.sdk.plugin.desktop.universe.IUniverse
