Symptom

  • User session terminates unexpectedly
  • Database (usually a tempdb) is full or nearly full and will usually be seen shortly before getting an 1105 error on the same database.
  • ASE errorlog contains an error 1122 "Attempt to read allocation page before opening SYSALLOCPGS." followed by a stacktrace.
  • Stacktrace contains the following functions: pg_get_alloc_page pg__allocate_near_target pg_allocate_from_gam
