While descoping Marketing in Business Configuration work center, system throws below error message:

Currently unable to finalize these scope changes; some of your decisions would cause inconsistencies in your fine-tuning settings of the productive data.

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Select Implementation Projects view.
3. Select Edit Project Scope
4. Go to the 3rd step
5. Uncheck Marketing
6. Complete the scoping by selecting Finish

This is the standard behaviour of the system. Marketing gets scoped once we scope Activity Management and it cannot be descoped independently.
