2309995 - Issues When Using Multiple Browser Tabs/Windows for Same Cloud for Customer Tenant/System

Symptom

Using multiple browser tabs/windows while working in the same Cloud for Customer system/tenant might cause inconsistent behavior, user interface (UI) dumps, session timeouts, and other issues that are not observed in single-tab browsing.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Cloud for Customer system in the browser and perform the logon.
  2. Open a new browser tab/window for the same system and user.
  3. After working for some time this way, you may notice inconsistent behavior, error messages (UI Dump), session timeouts.

Cause

When using multi-tab browsing, parallel sessions might send different requests to the server and will cause inconsistency, during handling data requests, resulting in issues. Thus, it is not recommended to use multi-tab browsing.

Resolution

Instead of using multiple browser tabs/windows, you should use internal multiple tabs within Cloud for Customer for accessing different objects as below.
