2311030 - Automatic manager transfer - Compensation Management

This article intends to explain hHow the 'Automatic manager transfer' option works.

This can be configured through Admin Tools > Employee Files > Automatic Manager Transfer

Automatic inbox manager transfer only happens for EM and EX roles. This is not applicable for Second managers.

If the old EM had the form, when they did a manager transfer, the new EM will get a copy of the form based on the transfer options checked. With comp forms, the manager hierarchy will determine who the E role is (the manager or second manager). This has no bearing on the document transfer options.

This means as long as the EM (manager of the planner) has the form, when a doc transfer happens and the transfer options are checked, they will move to the new manager of the planner.

Options available in the Automatic Manager Transfer section:

• Automatic insertion of new manager as next document recipient if not already.
• (Checking this option will change the route of already-created compensation worksheets to include the new second-level manager. This could ADD a new step to the route map if the new second-level manager is not already included in the next step of the route map).
• Automatic Inbox document transfer to new manager.
• Automatic En Route document transfer to new manager.
• Automatic Completed document transfer to new manager.

Note:

The Automatic Manager Transfer section in the compensation module is different than other SuccessFactors modules. The "Manager" in the case of automatic manager transfer is the manager of the compensation planner. The options above will transfer forms from the old second-level manager to the new second-level manager. In order to transfer employees on launched forms to the new compensation planner, you will need to select Update Compensation forms as described below.
