2311833 - SWPM : java.missingClasses unknown message ID (controller.java.missingClasses)

Symptom

A recent update to the SWPM tool on the SAP Service Marketplace contains a SAPinst that currently has the following problem:

  • When SAPinst starts an installation with Java Steps, it does not update the files in the installation directory if they already exist. This is a problem when the JAR files are changed an contain new code.
  • When SAPinst is started, if the installation directory already exists, the classes in the javaStep directory are not replaced and the following error is shown:
    • ERROR 2016-03-16 13:43:02.992 () id=controller.java.missingClasses unknown message ID (controller.java.missingClasses) with parameter(s):   /tmp/sapinst_instdir/NW740SR2/DB4/INSTALL/STD/AS/missingJavaClasses
