2312288 - Floating point value stored incorrectly when 78 or more digits are input

Symptom

  • When a floating point value is input as text using a string containing 78 or more digits
    ASE may raise error 168 (correct behavior)
  • Or may store the value smaller by an order of magnitude than it should be.  For example:
    The decimal point is shifted one place to the left of where it should be. (incorrect behavior)
