2313911 - User cannot self-register for a class from learning plan despite item and class property 'User can Self-Register' is set to 'Yes'

Symptom

User is not able to self-register into a class, even when the item and the class have the setting 'User can Self-Register' set to 'Yes'.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Assign an item to a user with associated classes >
  2. From user-side, user tries to register into an existing class >
  3. User is not able to proceed with the self-registration.

Cause

At least one class associated with the item needs to be in the same library as this item. This library has to be available to the user in order for them to be able to self-assign and/or see the item in their learning plan.

Resolution

Add the library to one or more of the classes associated with the affected item. If the user has access to this library, the user will be able to register for the class.

If the user doesn't have access to this library, the access needs to be provided.
