Symptom
In detail log of BR*Tools, below error codes are visible:
- BR2001E
- BR2007E
- BR2007W
Corresponding text is as follows:
BR2007E Control file '<DISK_GROUP>/.../current...' is not an ASM alias (standard name '<DISK_GROUP>/<db_unique_name>/cntrl<DB_NAME>.dbf') or is not part of database <db_unique_name>
BR2007W Control file '<DISK_GROUP>/.../current...' is not an ASM alias (standard name '<DISK_GROUP>/<db_unique_name>/cntrl<DB_NAME>.dbf') or is not part of database <db_unique_name>
BR2007E Spfile '<DISK_GROUP>/.../spfile...' is not an ASM alias (standard name '<DISK_GROUP>/<db_unique_name>/spfile<DB_NAME>.ora') or is not part of database <db_unique_name>
BR2007W Spfile '<DISK_GROUP>/.../spfile...' is not an ASM alias (standard name '<DISK_GROUP>/<db_unique_name>/spfile<DB_NAME>.ora') or is not part of database <db_unique_name>
BR2001E Collection of information on ASM files failed
At the same time v$controlfile is showing:
SQL> select name from v$controlfile;
NAME
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
<DISK_GROUP>/<db_name>/cntrl<DB_NAME>.dbf
<DISK_GROUP>/<db_name>/cntrl<DB_NAME>.dbf
<DISK_GROUP>/<db_name>/cntrl<DB_NAME>.dbf
Where:
- <DISK_GROUP> -> refers to one of available Disk Groups, like +TST_DATA or +WER_OLOG
- <db_name> -> refers to Oracle initialization parameter db_name (in upper case!!)
- <db_unique_name> -> refers to Oracle initialization parameter db_unique_name
- <DB_NAME> -> refers to value of NAME column in v$database Oracle view
