2314855 - SUM SL common UI Connection Issue

Software Update Manager (SUM) GUI during an upgrade /update is held up without performing any activities as in screenshot as follows:
 Also the Internet explorer console window(F12) doesn't provide any valuable information.

Also the SUM SLP logs shows error as:
