Symptom

  • when sp_spaceused is run on a table which has more than 200,00,00,000 err
  • sp_spaceused reports arithmetic overflow for bigger tables
  • Msg 247, Level 16, State 1:
    Procedure 'sp_f_getuint', Line 43:
    Arithmetic overflow during explicit conversion of VARCHAR value '4294967296' to
    a UNSIGNED INT field .
    (return status = -6)
