2315993 - tracefile gets incorrectly truncated when spid switches to another engine - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A tracefile set for a spid on a certain engine gets incorrectly truncated when spid swithces to another engine (pre 15.7)
  • After the engine switch the tracefile, it cannot be opened by the new engine (in ASE 15.7) and gives the following error:
    kernel  basis_fseek_unix: Failed to open file /sybase/SIM/data/repro_1_20110710-11-05-25.out; system service error number is 17.
    kernel  ufread: Failed to open file /sybase/SIM/data/repro_1_20110710-11-05-25.out; system service error number is 17.
    kernel  Cannot write in file ufwrite. Check the disk space and try again.
