2317146 - It is Not Possible to Edit or Delete Notes in Sales Opportunity

It is not possible to edit or delete Notes in an Opportunity.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Sales work center.
2. Go to the Opportunities view.
3. Select Opportunity ABC (ABC represents the Opportunity to be edited).
4. In the tab Overview, go to the pane Notes.

RESULT: Editing or deleting notes made is not possible.

The notes history functionality is designed to capture the notes that were taken at a certain point in time.

For the purposes of maintaining historic notes as they were taken, editing them retroactively is not permitted.

If using a running note feature is desired, then please turn off the notes history feature and use regular notes field instead.

Please, be aware that once the feature is turned off, all notes will be deleted and this cannot be reversed.

Steps to de-scope the Notes History:

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects View.
3. Highlight the current Implementation Project, and Select Edit Project Scope.
4. Go to the Questions tab.
5. Go to the Sales Scoping Element.
6. Open the New Business Element and Open Opportunities.
7. Under Group Opportunity Notes, de-scope this option using the checkbox.
