How to manually activate/enable and deactivate/disable locale or language directly in SAP SuccessFactors Learning.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Locales can now be added or removed by Learning Admins directly within the LMS UI, as long as the locale has not been tied to anything other than users/administrators. Once it is associated with anything else the ability to remove from UI will be non-functional.

How to add a Locale / Language:

1. Navigate to Learning Administration > References > Manage Labels > Locales > click Add New
   
   

3. Search for the Locale > Select > Add
   
   

After you add the locale, search for the locale under Learning Administration > References > Manage Labels > Locales > Search, you will be able to find the locale in the list of locale available in your instance.

How to remove a locale / language:

1. Navigate to Learning Administration > References > Manage Labels > Locales > click Edit on the locale you want to remove

3. Click Delete

Note: You cannot delete the default locale. A validation error will occur if the locale being deleted is assigned to an Admin or User. Once this error is being displayed and all admin/users have been disassociated fromt he locale, if this error still occurs the locale cannot be deleted directly in the LMS UI.

• You must correct the following error(s) before processing:
1. You cannot remove the active locale [LOCALE] because it is in use.
   
   

To obtain the list of users with the specified locale being used, please engage with Professional Services to extract from the PA_USER_Preferences table.
