• Receive error failed to get connection [BWsystem] Connect to SAP gateway failed MSHOST=BWSERVERname:48xxport WSAETIMEDOUT: Connection times out
• The issue may not affect all users
• The issue may or may not also affect Web Intelligence (BICS) but the errors could be dofferent
• The issue may or may not appear in the Information Design Tool when testing the Connection
• The issue could also affect predefined users' secondary credentials, and SSO connections (making it difficult to determine if it's authentication-related, i.e. KBA 1767629 has been updated to remove SNC encryption if that is the case)
• To resolve the analysis going into the CMC > Authentication > SAP > SNC configuration and disabling SNC should temporarily resolve (but this could break any legacy reporting using SNC for SSO while testing)

• Other parts of the error will show various SNC configuration information such as DEST (BW servername and port in the 48xx range) ASHOST, MSHOST, SNC MODE, SNC QOP, SNC MY NAME, R3 NAME, ect
