2319432 - Few users' records are present in "Personal Information" but are are missing in "Global Job Information".

Symptom

Few users' records (Person ID) are present in the Personal Information table but are missing in the Global Job Information table.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

In Advanced Reporting:

  • Navigate to Advanced Reporting
    Home > Analytics > Analytics> Advanced Reporting
  • Drag and drop the "Person ID" column from the "Personal Information" table
  • Create a filter for the same column for the affected user's "Person ID"
  • Results are fetched

  • Create a New query
  • Drag and drop the "Person ID" column from the "Global Job Information" table
  • Create a filter for the same column for the affected user's "Person ID"
  • No results are fetched
  • Data availability can also be confirmed from "My Employee File > Personal Information"

In Ad Hoc reports

  • Create a new Ad Hoc report for the Person and Employment Info(As Of Date) domain and try filtering the user under concern.
    No Results fetched

  • Create a new Ad Hoc report for the Employee Profile domain and try filtering the user under concern.
The user's data will be fetched.

Cause

  • "Assignment Type" field's data for the affected user is "NULL"
  • "IS_EC_SYSTEM_OF_RECORD" field's data for the affected user is "0"
Both the above configuration invalidate a user in the Employee Central system and result in the behavior.
  • They could have been modified manually or could be a result of an improper "Employment Detail Import"

Resolution

Ensure that missing employees are valid Employee Central employees.
This can be checked using 2 different methods.

Advanced Reporting - This can easily be done either via Online Report Designer (and reporting on the Employment Details table - IS_EC_SYSTEM_OF_RECORD field - see article 2092931 - Employee Central: Some users do not Synchronize via HRIS Sync and do not appear in Ad Hoc and ORD Reports (IS_EC_SYSTEM_OF_RECORD)).

OR

Integration Center - This can also be achieved via the Integration Center (see article - 2584658 - How to Check if a User is an EC User using the Integration Center)

Solution

Employee Central Biographical Information and Employment Details data must be imported for this employee (in order - see article 2080146 - Employee Central - Employee Data Import Steps - Creating Users via Imports)
