2319629 - Error message "Please assign a parent org unit" while Replicating Org Structure form ERP/CRM

When you are replicating the Org Unit from ERP/CRM to C4C, system throws below error message in Data Integration work center

Please assign a parent org unit

1. Go to Data Integration work center
2. Select Organisation Structure Replication Requests
3. Highlight the Replication Request and Select Application Log
4. Go to Results

There are two main cause for this issue,

Cause 1:

You are replicating the Org Unit without any Parent Org Unit or the Parent Org Unit is not valid (Validity Date)

Cause 2:

The Parent Org Unit doesn’t exist in the payload/replication request or in the C4C system

The concept is that, when you are replicating Org Units from CRM system or ERP system and have a parent-child relation then it is expected either the parent Org Unit should be part of the same payload (replication request) or the Parent should active in the Organizational Management in the C4C system.

It is also mandatory that you enter the Parent Org Unit in Payload which the valid validity date which are intact with the Child Org Unit.

Note: The validity of the parent org unit should not be less than the child org unit.

Additional Points:

• 300-500 is the recommended packet size to be maintained in the extract program. Also make sure that all parent orgs are sent to C4C first according to hierarchy. Report: CRMPCD_ORG_UNIT_EXTRACT. Packet Size in t-code: WE05
