2321670 - SAP IQ enhancement request to use node host name and not multiplex name when checking remote connectivity

Symptom

  • When using an ODBC Leaf Data Flow Operator to remotely connect one multiplex server node to another node in an separate multiplex system , an error that may be seen is similar to the following
Could not execute statement.
  Unable to connect to server 'mpx_server_name': [Sybase][ODBC
  Driver][SQL Anywhere]Unable to connect, server definition is circular
  SQLCODE=-656, ODBC 3 State="HY000"
  Line 1, column 1
  • This only fails if both multiplex servers share the same multiplex name as seen in
select multiplex_name  from sys.sysiqinfo;
