Symptom

  • The ALTER DATABASE command may fail with signal 11 on altdb__clear_chunk () :

Current process (0xb5005b) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00000000013e8938 (altdb__clear_chunk+0x244), siginfo (code, address)= (1, 0x0x0000000000000098)

  • ALTER DATABASE is used to shrink the database using the "off" option, for example:

alter database AS9 off AS9_data_005

  • The stack trace shows the following modules:
