2325139 - Contact Data Getting Deleted Using Mass Data Maintenance While Updating Contacts

While updating the Contacts using Mass Data Maintenance you observed the following Contact fields are getting deleted.
1. Phone
2. Mobile
3. E-mail
4. Fax

1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance workcenter
2. Select Import Customers view
3. Select the tab Contacts
4. Upload the template and execute

This is also applicable for migration mode - Modify existing records

Due to technical reasons, the phone number, mobile number , E-mail , fax are considered in one structure.
If you update any of these existing contact fields with blank in the migration template and import using Mass Data Maintenance, then the system overwrites these fields as blank, and display as empty fields after import.

To avoid loss of contacts data during migration, ensure that all these contact fields such as phone, fax, e-mail and mobile are entered in the migration template.
In case of updating contacts information using mass data maintenance, ensure that you download all the fields under the contacts tab before modifying and uploading the template to avoid any loss of data.
