2325812 - Contract release value update logic is unclear - ERP and S/4HANA

Symptom

  • It is not clear how the contract release documentation (table EKAB) is filled when call-off Purchase Order (PO) is created for a purchasing contract.
  • Error 06078 (Target quantity exceeded by &&&) is displayed incorrectly on checking a PO that has already been recorded against the contract release documentation.
  • Reports ME3N, ME3K or ME3L displays unexpected Release Value.
