2325846 - How to Update The Error Message Text When The Party Role Name Got Altered/Changed in the UI

Symptom

 This document helps you to know how to update the error message text when the party role text is altered in screen.

Reproducing the Issue

Let us take an example of the Opportunity party role “Sales Employee “name got altered to “Employee-Sales” and if this role is made mandatory, so when this role is missed while punching the Opportunity the system throw error message saying “party with role sales employee missing” the expectation is to have the error like “party with role Employee-Sales missing”

Cause

The change is in the label of the field in the frontend screen, but this is not where the text for the error message is fetched.

Resolution

In order to achieve this the user has to update or rename the text fallowing the below steps.

  1. Go to work center business configuration.
  2. View implementation project.
  3. Choose open activity list.
  4. Navigate to the fine-tune tab.
  5. Show all activities.
  6. Find for the activity “party role definition”.
  7. Choose the appropriate role you wanted to rename,
  8. Change the description here.
  9. Save and Close.

Please note that this change in the role text will take effect everywhere that the role text is used, so you should keep this in mind if you are concerned about the texts being synchronized. You may need to change texts in many other places (Leads, Quotes, etc).
