2326635 - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError when starting scjview

Symptom

When running Interactive SQL(dbisql) or Sybase Central(scjview) the following errors are returned:

  • Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError thrown from the UncaughtExceptionHandler in thread "main"
  • Exception in thread "Thread-0" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/awt/SunToolkit : cannot initialize class because prior initialization attempt failed
    • Caused by: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: <pathToTheFilelibmawt.so>: libXext.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
