2327336 - Time Type is Not Available for Specific Country

You have scoped a country in your implementation project, but the time type activity for the corresponding country is missing.

•  SAP Business ByDesign, all its versions.

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center;
2. Access the Implementation Projects view;
3. Select the relevant project;
4. Click the Open Activity List button;
5. Go to the Fine-Tune phase and search for the activity Time Types – XYZ (where XYZ stands for the name of the respective country).

The activity is not available.

The cause for this issue may vary depending on the country:

1. If it is a localized country, it's probably not in scope;
2. If it is a pre-localized country, time recording is not available for it.

1. Localized Country

For localized countries, once you scope country XYZ in the scoping step Country and Type of Business, ensure that Time Recording is enabled for the same in your solution configuration.

To enable the Time Recording, you may follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Business Configuration workcenter;
2. Access the Implementation Projects view;
3. Select the relevant project;
4. Click the Edit Project Scope button;
5. Go to the Questions step;
6. Expand Human Resources;
7. Expand Time and Labor Management;
8. Select Time Recording;
9. On the right side, under the section Questions for Time Recording, scope the required countries for which you want to use time data for payroll calculation and Set as Reviewed;
10. Complete the scoping by selecting Confirm and Finish.

 You will now see the activity Time Types – XYZ in Business Configuration.

2. Pre-Localized Country

SAP has an ongoing effort to increase its list of completely localized countries, so this might become available in a future release of the system.

As workaround, you can remove the pre-localized country XYZ from scope and use Time Types – International (available only for countries not in scope). Please note, however, that removing the pre-localized country from the scope to use this option will remove contacts associated to this pre-localized country such as taxes, forms and so on.
