Symptom
- Source ASE (12.5.4, 15.0.x, and 15.5) and target ASE (v16.0) on same Operating System (AIX)
- Databases are replicated
- You can see some messages like the following in the errorlog:
server Increase the config parameter 'number of open indexes' to avoid descriptor * * may result in performance degradation.

Online database commands returns the following message:
Database '<db_name>': beginning upgrade step [ID 7]:
insert rows into syspartitions for each system table and index
ASE is terminating this process.
- Load database command returns the message:
Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <db_name>: 92190 kilobytes (100%)LOADED.
Backup Server: 3.42.1.1: LOAD is complete (database <db_name>).
ASE is terminating this process.
- In some cases when issuing online database after dump database, ASE get infected with signal 11 at ibm_get_lock
- If hit a signal 11 the stacktrace may include modules such as:

ind__ides_init_fromrow()
